Melissa & Timothy

“The week leading up to a wedding is always stressful, but we had the added stress of the uncertainty of Hurricane Florence potentially heading our way. While some guests unfortunately were unable to make it, our closest friends and family made the necessary travel alterations, some flying in a few days early. So, it really became a week-long celebration.
The wedding day flew by…from getting ready in the beautiful bridesmaids’ suite, to the first look and all wedding party pictures. Everything was seamless! After such a stressful week, Tim and I were just on cloud nine, celebrating our love and dancing the night away with our best family and friends. It was a huge party; 90% of the guests were on the dance floor the whole night! Exactly what we always wanted!”
“We wanted to set the stage early that this was to be a great celebration, starting with pre-ceremony signature drinks, inspired by each of our Dad’s favorite cocktails. During cocktail hour, in addition to 1618’s delicious passed apps, we had Presto Pizza truck set up out front passing out pizzas for guests to enjoy. What’s a party without a little Pizza?!
Coordinated Events worked so well in conjunction with each of the vendors so that we didn’t have to worry about a thing. The Tuesday before the wedding, when Florence became a real potential threat to the Triad, our wedding planner called a last-minute meeting to go over every contingency plan. They had worked with everyone to ensure we had generators on hand for everything we might need them for, and we were assured the food would be put on ice so that in the event we were to lose power, the food would still be fresh. Luckily, none of these precautions were needed. But our vendors proactively made a plan that reassured Tim, myself, and our parents. I cannot begin to explain how they helped to ease our concerns during those stressful days. I can’t say enough about each of the vendors we chose, and their ability to collaborate with each other to put on the perfect wedding!” ~ Melissa
