Erica & Tyson
Erica and Tyson met through mutual friends. Tyson came with one of Erica's girlfriend's boyfriend to her parents' lake house where the two were introduced. Their first official date was soon thereafter when they went to the movies together with some other mutual friends. It was only a few short weeks later that Tyson formally asked Erica to date him exclusively.
On New Year's Eve of 2015, the couple hosted a party at the home that Erica had recently purchased, and as the ball dropped, Tyson asked Erica to marry him, surrounded by friends and family.
Erica resourced TriadWeddings Magazine during their planning process. “I got ideas for our wedding and it truly made me feel okay with having a wedding that was unique to us, and not just something popular,” Erica shared.
Their wedding colors were blush, Tiffany blue and gold. Erica chose these colors because she loves the romantic feel of things.
“I love Marie Antoinette. I picked those colors because they seemed to reoccur in all things popular during that French era,” she continued.
“Our wedding day was absolutely wonderful. Tonya, owner of ABBA Design, made everything so effortless for us. None of the wedding party felt as if they had anything to worry about; she had every vendor and aspect of the event organized, and it proceeded smoothly.
“Our wedding theme was romantic and whimsical. I wanted it to feel as if we were outside under the trees. I was always obsessed with the movie ‘Twilight' and their outdoor wedding. Tonya brought the outside inside to us.
“The most unique element of our wedding day were the head vases we had on the tables as a memorial for my grandmother on my father's side. She died of breast cancer and these were one of the antique items she left that were important to me to be there because it was a part of her.
“Tonya, Visions Catering and A&A Disc Jockey Service were all stupendous. I would choose them all over
again. Tonya made the day go off without a hitch,
Larry made everything personal and memorable, and Visions saved hot food for the groom and I which was amazing. Everyone was absolutely wonderful when it came to attending to everyone's needs. It was a fairytale,” Erica concluded.
