Brittany & Seth
WHEN BRITTANY MET SETH, SHE KNEW IMMEDIATELY - IT WAS LOVE. He was the president of the UNCG College Democrats, he was handsome, and quickly stood out to her. So much so, that she walked right up to him and asked him out on a date. Their first date was ice skating at the Ice House, and after a delicious dinner together at Wasabi, they began a relationship that would lead them straight down the aisle. It wasn’t long before Seth realized it too - this was definitely love.
In February of 2013, the bride left an evening MBA class and waited for Seth to arrive to pick her up. Glancing at her phone, Brittany realized he was running really late. She waited a little longer before she finally got frustrated and began to walk home. Halfway between school and home, he finally showed up. Brittany couldn’t hide her anger, but when she got home, every ounce of annoyance quickly went away. There before her was a pink cake with the most perfect cake topper she’d ever seen - a ring box and a chocolate heart. This beautiful cake, made from scratch by Seth (with extra doses of love, of course), was the sweetest thing he could do for Brittany, who loved to bake and had provided them plenty of sweets over the course of their relationship. No longer mad at this handsome man who had come into her life and now proposed to her, Brittany said yes!
Brittany and Seth began planning their holiday-themed party right away. They first started dating right before Valentine’s Day, and selected a wedding date close to Christmas, so both holidays played a big role in their decor. Various combinations of red, pink, ivory and gold were spread throughout the planning, from the bride’s stunning pink wedding gown to their gold adorned wedding cake. Seth and his two groomsmen rocked plaid suits and bow ties, made complete with heart boutonnieres. They said their vows at First Friends Meeting; then headed to downtown Greensboro for a karaoke-filled holiday party at Carolina Theatre.
Jeff Scott at J. Darren Photography beautifully captured every glittery detail. Christmas decorations lined the bold staircase of the theatre, perfectly complemented by the red and pink centerpieces. One of the bride’s favorite details? Thyme2Cater provided “brinner” – breakfast for dinner! Brittany and Seth certainly made sure to keep every detail as unique and special as their love! A&A Disc Jockey Service kept the party alive while guests visited the photo booth (courtesy of Ross Photography) and got down with some karaoke. Their wedding day ended in true holiday fashion - a truly epic party!
